Second language acquisition and exposure has proved to be extremely effective in promoting school-age success. Research proves that speaking more than one language has a positive effect on students’ intellectual growth and enriches their mental development. Learning more than one language even improves a child’s understanding of his/her native language. Our Foreign Language curriculum begins in our Threes Class, Discoverers, and occurs from September to May. The biweekly class focuses on exposure to the Spanish language through hands-on and exploratory activities. While in class, children participate in a variety of activities that include arts, crafts, storytelling, puppetry, music, dance, and games.
